Food in the City – Architecture & Urban Design

25. November @ 19:00 20:30 CET

Farmlyplace’s “Food in the City” meetup continues – virtually until further notice – every last Wednesday of the month!

It is November and new ideas for 2021 are emerging. As we cozy up at home for a second wave of Corona-regulations, join us to discuss a topic near and dear to our hearts: architecture and urban design for food production! Let us imagine together what buildings could look like now and in the future if they incorporated urban food production into their design concept.

SPEAKERS:

  • Eugen Litwinow – Managing Director of Ellery Studio, Berlin
  • Paola Bagna – an architect and designer based in Berlin and Empuriabrava (http://paolabagna.com/)
  • Antje Marx – urban planner and sustainable development specialist
  • Leonard Schrage – a Berlin-based interdisciplinary designer and researcher (http://leonardschrage.com/)
  • Dr.-Ing. Grit Bürgow – Project coordinator & Lecturer at TU Berlin (roofwaterfarm.com / gartenleistungen.de)
  • And YOU: students, architects, artists and researchers in the field of smart cities, urban and rural development, and food systems.

Join us for an open exchange of innovative ideas and opportunities for growth, and get some inspiration from our guest speakers as they show us what they do and why they do it!
